Getting your steps in can be tough when the weather is awful out or your motivation is just low for the day. On those days when going outside feels tough, this little mini stepper could help maintain your fitness. Designed to mimic walking up a staircase, this gadget can easily stow away out of sight, whether in a closet or under a desk, and at 16 pounds, you can take it just about anywhere. One reviewer calls it their “stairway to fitness heaven,” saying it’s a surprisingly intense workout: “After just a few minutes, my legs were burning like I had climbed Mount Everest. But the best part? I didn’t even have to leave my house or put on real pants. Take that, gym membership!”

If you need a way to take more steps, this is an excellent one — mainly because it’s actually on sale now at 17% off list price. Usually $60, you can grab it now for $47.99 on Amazon. This is a great way to get active at home!

While walking pads have boomed in popularity (HuffPost readers are obsessed with this one on sale for under $100), this small stair stepper helps you achieve the same thing but goes a little further: It has an LCD screen that displays calories burned, step count, time elapsed and more. The stair stepper is also only 16 inches tall at its maximum height and comes with two resistance bands that latch onto its base for additional full-body conditioning.

Several users say this mini stepper is easy to use, has plenty of adjustable resistance, and love that it comes preassembled. “This stepper is amazing,” says one customer. I work out regularly, but this thing gives me a WORKOUT and quick! After just one week of regular stepping (about 15 minutes a day), I received three out-of-the-blue compliments on how my legs looked toned and fit. They asked what I was doing, and my response was: mini stepper!”

Burn those calories from the safety of your living room with this mini stepper while it’s on sale, and read on for more rave reviews from other users about their step routine.

“I bought the Niceday Steppers hoping for a simple way to get some exercise at home. Little did I know, I was about to embark on a journey to fitness heaven! First of all, let’s talk about the setup. It was so easy, I think even my cat could have put it together if she wasn’t too busy judging my life choices. The steppers were up and running (or should I say stepping?) in no time. Using the Niceday Steppers is like having your own personal Stairway to Heaven right in your living room. Each step feels like you’re ascending to a higher plane of fitness. By the third step, I was convinced I could see my house from space. The workout is no joke. After just a few minutes, my legs were burning like I had climbed Mount Everest. But the best part? I didn’t even have to leave my house or put on real pants. Take that, gym membership! ◡̈” — FunkyFeedback

I recently purchased the Stair Stepper with Resistance Bands, primarily to target my thighs, and it has exceeded my expectations. The stepper is incredibly easy to pedal, making it user-friendly even for beginners. You can start using it right out of the box with really minimal setup. One of the best features is the option to use the resistance bands or not. With the bands, you get a comprehensive workout that targets your thighs and arms. Without the bands, you still get a good cardio session, but the resistance on the thighs isn’t as intense. […] You can be creative with your movements, which keeps the workout interesting. I especially enjoy adopting side-to-side hip movements, which also benefit the waist area. This versatility makes the exercise more enjoyable and less monotonous. […] My stepper isn’t particularly noisy. However, I try to avoid using it late at night as even the minimal noise can seem louder in the quiet of the night. […] You can easily store it under the bed, on the balcony, or under your office desk, making it perfect for small spaces. Overall, this stepper is a fantastic addition to my home gym. It’s fun, effective, and offers a great workout for both the lower and upper body. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enhance their fitness routine!” — Fany MAPPAH (This review has been edited for length. Read the full review.)

“I bought this Stair Stepper on August 19, 2024. I must say that I am highly impressed !! It comes fully assembled, but for adding the Resistance Bands, which is very easy to do !! It is solidly built, and easy to use. Going on vacation, then take it with you !! It is an excellent leg workout, that will increase your heart rate, burn calories, and cause a good sweat !! It has a monitor that I am not real familiar with yet, as I have other monitors that I like to use !! To be honest, I wish it did not have a monitor, as I have thoughts about removing it, if possible !! Today is August 20, 2024 , and I have only used this stepper six times, so it is my plan to come back in a month or two and rewrite this review !! As it stands right now, I highly recommend this Stair Stepper !! FIVE STARS and TWO BIG THUMBS UP !!” — Frank

“This stepper is amazing. I workout regularly however this thing gives me a WORKOUT and quick! After just one week of regular stepping (about 15 mins a day), I received 3 out of the blue compliments on how my legs looked toned and fit. They asked what I was doing, my response - mini stepper! I’ve worked out regularly for years and nothing… however first week I get this thing and people already take notice. I love the workout it gives, how easy it is to use, portability, and how convenient it is to store. I love this thing so much I am going to buy another, however if it was up to me I’d like to make the ability to have the steps be adjustable to being wider.. as sometimes I feel like my legs are too close when I’m stepping. The value for what you get is amazing, and I definitely recommend getting one!” — Amazon Customer

“I bought this after seeing it on TikTok! I’m a 23F and I’m unable to go on walks on my own bc of my living environment (unsafe). So I’m not really getting in the daily steps that I need. I didn’t end up putting the arm straps on this because I use weights I already own to lift when I walk on here. This machine also pairs well with ankle or arm weights! I like how you can adjust the resistance and it’s pretty easy to use. I either will go on here for a short burst or I’ll walk on it while I’m watching a movie or a show. Depending on your form while walking it can target different areas like your hips, butt, abdomen, thighs, or calves. Some people complained about theirs making a sound, but so far I’ve had no issues with that. Mine is super quiet and I haven’t noticed it creating any heat. I live on a first floor so I wouldn’t worry about it anyways, but if you’re on a second you should be able to use it without worry. This definitely was worth the purchase!!” — MatthewMorrisishot

“I saw this machine on tik tok and it was getting such amazing reviews. I wasn’t sure tho bc hey it’s tik tok and we all know how that can go, I also wasn’t sure about purchasing through tiktok shop. I found it on Amazon and even tho it was a little more then what they were advertising in tik tok I didn’t care since Amazon is so much more secure. It came fast, was not as heavy as I thought it would be, fits perfectly anywhere in my house, and the best part… baby I tried it and it was a workout. Totally felt like I had been on the stair climber at the gym except the time went by so much faster since I was at home watching my shows, checking emails all while working out. Started sweating and felt my heart rate increase after about 10 mins. I didn’t have to put it together it just came straight out the box, all you have to do is attach the resistance bands which are a great add on that doesn’t come with the stair climber at the gym” — JustJackie

I have had a failed back surgery, then I had a spinal cord stimulator implant which is helping, so now with this stepper, I am finally able to get some strength back into my legs. I really love this small footprint exercise equipment piece in my spare bedroom. Easy to use and will help with stability as we age. It is so worth the money. You won’t be disappointed” — C.
